Around the world, communities are responding to profound challenges by coming together, growing new/old ways of living, organizing, and caring for one another. From local Transition initiatives and regenerative projects to movements for climate justice, food sovereignty, community resilience, and social transformation, countless people are nurturing the seeds of a different future.
Yet the work of regeneration is not something we do alone. Deep collaboration grows through trust. Through relationships, sharing experiences, learning from one another, celebrating what is working, and finding new ways for mutual support across movements and places. This gathering is an invitation to step out of our individual contexts and come together more deeply as a global community.
We invite you to join us.
A few of the threads that will run through our days together.
The Festival is the heart of the gathering – three days where people from across communities, movements, and places come together to learn, share, celebrate, and imagine what is possible when we connect our efforts.
Through workshops, Open Space Technology, ceremony, shared meals, presentations, conversations, creative experiences, and moments of connection, participants will have opportunities to exchange knowledge, discover new perspectives, build relationships, and celebrate the many ways communities around the world are creating regenerative futures.
Attending as a team offers an opportunity to share the beautiful work you are doing through leading a workshop or hosting a booth about your work, connect with folks doing similar or adjacent work, and discover practical ways to support and uplift each other’s work. Throughout the gathering, there will be spaces for organizations and networks to exchange ideas, share offers and needs, explore collective opportunities, and deepen the wider web of community-led change.
We encourage organizations to consider sponsoring a group of 3–8+ participants from your team to attend together. Coming as a delegation can be an opportunity to deepen your internal team connections while also creating space for cross-pollination, learning, and collaboration with other groups from across the movement.
Optional two-day deep dives, running alongside the Festival. Facilitators and themes are being confirmed.
Practical models for local economies that give back more than they take.
Holding space when movements, cultures and generations meet.
Salema Eco Camp is a regenerative tourism project on Portugal’s Algarve coast, surrounded by nature. The camp focuses on reducing environmental impact while actively supporting nature conservation, regeneration and more conscious ways of travelling.
I find this really hard to explain, but I feel very deeply that we need to connect in person… Connecting with Transition was a transformational moment in my life. It was through this local activism that I came to understand the systemic crisis which we face and to gain personal agency for change. I have attended several Transition gatherings of change-makers from across the world. Connecting with others from such a variety of contexts brought a powerful sense of connection, inspiration, challenge and reassurance in our collective values, understanding and endeavour.
Stories and reflections from the road to the gathering.
This gathering is for people who are part of the wider movement of people working towards more regenerative futures. You might be part of the Transition movement, involved with another network, organisation or community group, or simply joining as a curious individual.
We hope the gathering will be a space to rekindle relationships across the Transition movement, while also opening doors to new connections, collaborations and possibilities.
We want the gathering to be accessible to people with different financial circumstances.
We’re using a sliding scale to help us cover the costs of the venue and the gathering while keeping participation within reach for as many people as possible. If you are able to give on the higher end, please do, as that will support us to cover costs and make the gathering feasible. And if costs are a barrier, please reach out and let us know and we can sense into whether there are any creative possibilities.
When you register, you’ll be able to choose the price that fits your situation.

We are living through a defining moment in human history, marked by climate disruption, ecological destruction, and deepening social challenges.
